Randall Miller, program officer at the Haas, Jr. Fund, primarily supports the Equality and Justice grantmaking area. His LGBT work at the Fund is an extension of his deep commitment to eradicating HIV/AIDS and his strong ties to communities of color and faith-based communities.

Randall comes to the Fund with ten years of grantmaking experience with Tides Foundation, Vanguard Public Foundation and the Community Health Investment Fund. He has served as co-director of the National Youth Ministry Organization, a progressive faith-based nonprofit, and executive director of the National Task Force on AIDS Prevention, providing advocacy, prevention education, technical assistance and capacity building for organizations serving gay men of color.

Currently, Randall serves on the board of the Reconciling Ministries Network, the steering committee of Gay Men’s Issues in Religion Group for the American Academy of Religion and sits on the African American Religious Roundtable for the Center for Lesbian and Gay Religious Studies. His numerous advisory board positions have included the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute of Mental Health, Office of Minority Health, Glaxo-Wellcome Corporation. He has also served on the boards of the San Francisco LGBT Center and Project Inform.

Randall earned a B.A. from Emory and Henry College, pursued his master's degree at Emory University, and completed a Ph.D. in social ethics at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley.
