Bob Bailey is director of human resources and administration at the Haas, Jr. Fund. In this position, he is responsible for overseeing the Fund’s office operations and managing and providing a range of human resource services to the Fund and its staff.
Bob joined the Fund in 2007, drawn to its work and mission by a longtime interest in social justice, community service and organizational effectiveness for nonprofits. Working for these employers over the course of 20 years, Bob developed a broad range of experience in organizational learning and change, team and staff development, performance management, employee-labor relations, mediation and conflict resolution.
Bob’s community service has included extended service on the boards of Resource Media, a strategic communications nonprofit organization serving the environmental movement; and SEEDS Community Resolution Center. He currently sits on the board of The Community Boards of San Francisco, a model community mediation organization. Bob also has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of San Francisco in its Organizational Behavior program.
Bob received his Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard University's Kennedy School and his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut.
