Elizabeth helps ensure that the Fund’s accounting and finances reflect its commitment to transparency and efficiency.
As staff accountant, Elizabeth assists in oversight of all accounting functions. Among her specific responsibilities: managing payroll and maintaining the Fund’s general ledger.
Elizabeth graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in music; she later obtained a master’s degree in accounting at Cal State University East Bay, and became a certified public accountant. Her private-sector experience includes seven years as general ledger accountant with Dreyer’s Ice Cream in Oakland. She also has worked in accounting for a number of nonprofit organizations, including a woman’s recovery services organization in San Pablo.
In volunteer activities, Elizabeth served as treasurer and pro bono chief financial officer for the Clay Arts Guild in Walnut Creek, and was on the board of the Rainbow Community Center of Contra Costa County during its formation in 1992-1993.
Elizabeth was born in Berkeley and is a second generation native Californian.
I like working for an organization that has integrity, is guided by values and is working to make a positive difference in the community.
