Clayton helps support the Fund's grantmaking and operations.
Clayton is grantmaking and accounting associate with the Fund. In this position, he is responsible for reviewing grant requests; tracking the status of grants; running reports; and processing payments to the Fund’s grantees and vendors.
Clayton joined the Fund in 2000 after managing information technology and web services for the Furth Firm, a San Francisco law firm. He did similar work for Chalk Hill Winery in Sonoma County, which was established by the owner of the law firm.
Clayton, who was born in Hawaii, has been a longtime Bay Area resident. He has worked in a wide range of jobs over the years, and he first learned about the Fund while working as a volunteer with Project Open Hand, a current Fund grantee that provides meals to seniors and critically ill residents in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, including many people with HIV/AIDS.
I feel great coming to the office every day and doing my part to support progress on issues that are so important to me personally.
